243 years after Paul Revere allegedly rode through the outskirts of Boston yelling about the impending arrival of the British Redcoats, 2 Brits arrived in much more modern fashion.
We made our way to our hotel and were met by the excitable Yo2D2 when we got in the lift.
- A little bit of home
- Charlie enjoying our “Cabin”
- The “Smart Bed” that is both sofa and bed
Once we had settled in to our room (where even 3000 miles can’t get us away from Bake Off), we decided to head out for a quick reccy and to get some food. After taking in some of the sites on the river near our hotel (the Barking Crab, James Hook Lobster co and the Boston Tea Party ships) we headed into Boston’s North End for some seafood at the Boston Sail Loft. Here we had our first “Boston Experience” with a mug of clam chowder along with some other seafood delights.
Tomorrow we start with the adventure proper with our first full day in the US.
