On our second day at Disney, we went to Animal Kingdom. There is an Avatar ride there that is extremely popular and attracts massive queues, so we got to the park really early. Unfortunately Disney resort guests had an extra hour in the park so we couldn’t go in early after all.

When we got in, the Flight of Pasaage ride had a wait time of about 2 hours, which is quite low unbelievably, so we decided to get in the queue. The wait was worth it – on the ride you get your own avatar then fly on a very realistic simulator on a banshee through Pandora. The graphics and effects were incredible, we really enjoyed it despite the long wait.\

We went to the Festival of the Lion King show, then spent the afternoon on rides, including a safari around the nature reserve, where we saw lots of the animals and got very close to rhinos!

The rain arrived again, so we went for another early tea in a very fancy restaurant, where we had booked a 3 course meal with tickets to the evening show. We both had a yummy surf and turf (steak and lobster!).

We finished the rides on the Kali river rapids, where we both, especially me, got soaked, then went and dried off as we watched the Rivers of Light show. This was a very impressive light show over the lake. A really fantastic day.
